(h) Practising the given dialogues. Ask them to focus on accurate
pronunciation.

There’s water in the pan. (pan - cooking utensil)
4. Please take a seat. (seat - a place to sit)
Can you sit down, please? (sit - the action of sitting)
5. We had meat for dinner. (meat - food)
Let’s meet at the cafe. (meet - to come together)
6. The cupboard is bare. (bare - empty)
Be careful of the bear in the woods. (bear - animal)
7. She received an important mail. (mail - correspondence)
He is a male actor. (male - gender)
8. Turn right at the next intersection. (right - direction)
I need to write a letter. (write - to put words on paper)
9. They sell fruits at the market. (sell - to exchange goods
for money)
The cell phone is ringing. (cell - small unit)
10. He took a bit of the cake. (bit - small piece)
She can’t beat him in a race. (beat - to overcome)
