         FOR ONLINE READING ONLY
          Food and Human Nutrition, Teacher’s Guide is written for Form
          Five Food and Human Nutrition teachers in the United Republic of
          Tanzania. This guide is prepared in accordance with the 2023 Food
          and Human Nutrition syllabus for Advanced Secondary Education,
          Form V-VI, issued by the Ministry of Education Science and
          Technology (MoEST). The guide consists of seven chapters namely;
          Dietary needs, Nutrient values, Energy balance, Nutrients extraction,
          Food toxicants, Good nutrition and Nutritional assessment. This guide
          intends to help you in facilitating the development of the expected
          competences. The guide includes student’s activities, learning and
          teaching resources as well as steps to be followed when facilitating
          the learning process. You are advised to use the real environment
          as well as improvisation of the teaching and learning materials so
          as to enable a student to develop the expected competences and the
          21  Century skills. However, you are advised to create and use other
            st
          teaching and learning strategies that suits your context.
