            Body language
Body language is an unspoken part of communication that uses body parts to
communicate feelings and it gives emphasis to the message that impacts the
audience. Body language includes facial expressions, posture, eye movements

            Gestures
Gestures involve movements of hands, arms, and other parts of the body to convey
meaning. Common gestures include waving, pointing, thumbs-up, handshakes
and shaking of the head. Different gestures stand for different meanings. This
means that using gestures, one has to be careful with what the selected gesture
means to that particular culture for which the performance is intended. Therefore,
as you have learnt in this chapter, it is essential to be aware of cultural norms
when communicating using gestures. Figure 6.4 shows various gestures which
may stand for different meaning in various cultures.
