new languages is advantageous beyond theatrical production. It enhances
cultural tolerance and it fosters friendships and interpersonal relationship
between and within artists and other members of the community. Being
able to converse in someone else’s language can break down barriers and
build bridges between individuals from different linguistic backgrounds.

1. Your friends do not know the importance of using language in theatre
performances. Explain to them how important a creative use of language
is in theatre performance.
2. A team from Tanzanian Film Board (TFB) visited your art centre that
deals with production of film and theatre works. One of the officials
from TfD wants you to differentiate the use of language in theatre
performances from other forms of communication. Provide them with
four differences.

(TCTF), Explain to your trainees how intrapersonal communication,
interpersonal communication and group communications occur in
theatre performances.
