            Advantages of found spaces
When used for performances, found spaces have several advantages as follows.
                (a) They meet the needs of people in an ordinary manner. Performances that
take place in found spaces reflect the needs of people living around that
area. Most of them are performed for particular purposes. For example,
ritual and initiation dances are performed to install chiefs or to mark
                    stages of one’s life cycle.

                (b) They are located in places convenient to the audience. Found spaces are
located within the audience’ reach. As such, performers do not struggle
to get the audience of their performances. Thus, the community around
the found stage can easily go to watch the performance without the use
                    of modern media.

                (c) They are affordable to performers and audience. The cost for hiring
found spaces is affordable compared to the price for hiring a proscenium
or thrust stage. Therefore, they offer equal chances for performers to
showcase their performances while the audience get opportunity to watch
theatrical performances regardless of their financial status.
