Read the Bible and other library sources, then describe the concept of marriage
according to Genesis 2:18-24.
Responsibilities of married people to each other
The married people are responsible for assisting each other. Assistance is an act of
giving help to a fellow. A man is the leader of the family rather than a ruler. The wife
should assist the husband in different aspects of their life, such as decision making
and economic planning (Genesis 2:18- 24). “It is not good for the man to be alone;
I will make a helper suitable for him” (Genesis 2:18).
Married people have the responsibility of comforting each other. A wife plays a
role of a comforter to her husband. To comfort is to take someone’s stress away and
ensuring a wellbeing of the fellow. It may happen in their daily life that a husband
is tired from his daily activities. In that case, a woman has to play her part of giving
comfort to her partner; and the husband is also expected to offer the same support
to the wife.
