Furthermore, married people have a responsibility of child bearing and nurturing.
Child bearing is a process of conceiving, incubating, and giving birth to children.
Giving birth is a continuation of God’s work to populate the world (Genesis 1:27).
A woman is given a role to procreate the world by giving birth. The plan of God to
humankind is to multiply and populate the world. However, a man and woman have

also a common duty of nurturing their children. Nurturing is a process of caring for
and protecting children as they grow up. Besides, married people are companions
to each other. A companion is someone or something that one spends a lot of time
with. It could be in travelling, in enjoyable moments, and in difficulties. In this case,
a woman is a companion to her husband likewise a husband is a companion to his
wife. Additionally, they are advisor of each other. An advisor is a person who gives
advice. A woman is the first person to advise her husband, and equally a husband is a
first advisor to his wife. They advise each other in different aspects of life including on
how to maintain their family, or on how to improve their economic and social status.

Environmental care from a biblical perspective
Christians acknowledge creation care as an act of discipleship; we are stewards of the
earth, summoned by God to “work on it and take care of it” (Genesis 2:15). Our uses
of the earth and its ecological resources must be designed to safeguard and renew
it rather than to deplete or destroy it. In that regard, environmental conservation is
therefore an attempt to preserve the creation from all forms of degradation. Figure
2.6 depicts man's responsibility for environmental care.
