            Record keeping in rabbit production

Record keeping, like in any livestock farming enterprise, is a practical, effective,
and efficient way of managing the enterprise. Observations like breeding dates,
kindling dates, vaccination and deworming dates, income, and expenses are
crucial data that must be documented throughout the year. Record keeping in
rabbit farming has many advantages, including the following:
                 (a) Expense and income records help to track the profit and cost of running
                     your farm.
                 (b) Breeding records tell the farmers if the doe has conceived regularly
during the year and if the doe has an excellent mothering ability.
                 (c) Medication records indicate the type of diseases, drugs used, and the
                     control measures undertaken.
                 (d) Feeding records provide information on the feed types used, amount and
costs, and performance, which will help in future feeding plans.
