Feeder pig a young pig that has been weaned and is
being fed to gain weight before it is sold for
finishing or slaughter.
Finishing the stage in pig production where pigs are fed
to reach market weight, typically around 90-
100 kg. This is the last phase before slaughter.
Flushing the practice of increasing the feed provided
to female animals e.g. sows and gilts before
breeding to improve their body condition and
increase the number of eggs released during
ovulation.
Forage plant materials, such as hay, grass, or leafy
greens, that animals like rabbits eat.
