               Teaching steps
               1.  Guide students in manageable  groups to discuss the history

                  of classification of living organisms. Check whether students
                  participate actively in group discussion.
               2.  Use jigsaw to guide students to present their works in the class
                  for clarification.



           3.2   Viruses

               Teaching steps
               1.  Guide students  to search for information  from library  and
                  internet sources about viruses.
               2.  Assign  students to write short notes about the searched
                  information  on viruses including their characteristics,  their
                  classifications, structures, life cycles and economic importance.
               3.  Assign students to do Exercise 3.1 from Student’s Book. Mark
                  the exercise and provide feedback.



           3.3  Kingdom Monera
               Teaching steps

               1.  Guide students  to search for information  from library  and
                  internet sources about kingdom Monera.
               2.  Guide students through jigsaw to present the explored features
                  of each member of the kingdom Monera.
               3.  Guide  students  in  groups  to  discuss  main  classification  of
                  bacteria basing on staining properties, morphology, and mode
                  of nutrition.  Check whether students participate  actively  in
                  group discussion.

               4.  Guide students to perform Activity 3.1 in the Student’s Book
