(artificial and natural system of classification), then ask them to
make short notes.
2. Use Activity 2.1 from the Student’s Book to guide students to
classify living organisms.
Safety precautions
Necessary precautions should be observed when collecting
specimens from the school surroundings and nearby environment
since there might be dangerous organisms like snakes, bees, thorn
plants, and allergens.
2.3 Taxonomic ranks
Teaching steps
1. Guide students to search from internet the videos or images
showing taxonomic ranks. Ask them to note what they have
observed.
2. Assign students to do Exercise 2.1 from Student’s Book. Mark
the exercise and provide feedback.
