               (f) Communication: ICT helps students communicate in English
with people from around the world as well as improve their
                   language skills and cultural understanding.
               (g) Feedback: Online quizzes and exercises provide instant
         FOR ONLINE READING ONLY
feedback, helping students to see their progress and areas
                   where they need improvement.
               (h) Global perspective: ICT exposes students to English dialects
and accents from different countries, preparing them for real-
                   world communication.

          General Teaching Steps
This section introduces the teaching and learning procedures that
focus on the communicative approach where students will develop
proficiency in English. Although these methods have been fully
learned at college, you are advised to read them to refresh and ensure a
smooth flow during teaching and learning. Remember that teaching and
learning that emphasise the stages of learning yield better outcomes.
The steps of teaching and learning methods are defined as follows.

             1. Acting out a dialogue
             (a) Introduce a dialogue: Begin by introducing a dialogue.
Provide a context, such as the setting and situation in which
the conversation takes place. Discuss the roles of characters
                 and their relationships.
             (b) Vocabulary and pronunciation: Go over any unfamiliar
vocabulary or phrases in the dialogue. Practise pronunciation
                 and stress patterns, if necessary.
             (c) Break it down: Divide the dialogue into smaller segments or
sentences. Teach and practise each segment before moving on
to the next one. Encourage the students to repeat after you and
                 work on pronunciation.
             (d) Act it out together: As a teacher, you can take the role of one
character, while asking a student to play the other character.
Act out the dialogue together as an example.
