(h) Reading two or more plays and preparing presentations on them.
The presentation should give an overview of the chosen, and
explain their key features, notable examples, and conventions.

deepen their understanding and clarify concepts.
(i) Role-playing any short drama scenario on a real or imaginary
life event and explaining how drama-specific elements are in-
corporated into the performance.
(j) Choosing any of the favourite texts from any genre and analysing
it. Instruct students individually to prepare a report focusing
on the aspects (the plot structure, language techniques, and
thematic elements) given in the Student’s Book. Ask them to
explain how these aspects contribute to the overall effectiveness
of the text within the genre. Finally, tell them to present the
summary of their reports to the class for knowledge sharing.
Provide clarification and feedback on the student’s work where
necessary.
Activity 12.2 Applying the theories of literature in critiquing
literary works
Use the activities in the Student’s Book to guide the students through:
(a) Studying the diagram found in the Student’s Book and discussing
each of the theories presented. This activity is intended to teach
the students about the theories of literature that can be used in
critiquing literary works. You may use small group discussions
and presentations to let students accomplish this activity. You
may ask them to search for information using any sources of
information such as a library, internet and experts.
