               Three Grammar and vocabulary

         FOR ONLINE READING ONLY

Teaching grammar and vocabulary to students is essential for their academic
and social growth. Mastering grammar enables clear communication
in both spoken and written forms, while a strong vocabulary enhances
comprehension, critical thinking, and active participation. Proficiency
in these areas boosts self-confidence, aiding students in academic tasks
and future career opportunities. This chapter focuses on grammar and
vocabulary instruction to equip students with the necessary tools for
           success in school and beyond.

Activity 3.1 Using synonyms in conversation and writing

Use the activities in the Student’s Book to guide the students through:
            (a) Reading the conversation between Sarah and Jamila
demonstrates how synonyms are used in natural settings. Ask
the students to identify synonyms in the dialogue to get their
prior knowledge. Use the dialogue, the ‘Did you know’ section
and other resources to teach the students synonyms.
            (b) Replacing each underlined word with its synonym in the
sentences extracted from different conversations and writings
from the box provided in the Student’s Book. The suggested
