                 1.  Discuss each principle and write a summary of your discussion.
                 2.  Consult  printed  or electronic  sources to  enhance  your ideas  for the
                     discussion.
                 3.  Write the first draft of your discussion. Acknowledge all the sources you
                     have used.

          (e) Study again Figure 10.2 and discuss how the tips given apply to proofreading. Use
              the following guidelines.

                 1.  Discuss each tip and write a summary of your discussion.
                 2.  Consult different printed or electronic sources to enrich the ideas from your
                     discussion.

                 3.  Write the first draft of your discussion and acknowledge the sources used.
                 4.  Exchange the draft with another group for editing.
                 5.  Return the draft you edited and take yours for proofreading.
                 6.  Discuss the edited draft and effect changes.

                 7.  Write  and  proofread  the  final  draft  of  the  edited  (clean)  summary  and
                     submit it to your teacher for evaluation and feedback.



          (f)  Consult any professional editor to explore more about editing and proofreading.
                 1.   Discuss with them to get their experience on how they edit and proofread
                     different documents.
                 2.  Listen  and  note  down the  procedures  they  use to  edit  and  proofread
                     documents.
                 3.  Compare their approach with the application of theories and principles of
                     editing and proofreading.
                 4.  Identify differences that you think may affect the quality of the edited and
                     proofread documents.
                 5.  Compile your observations.
                 6.  Discuss and write the first draft of your report.
                 7.  Share the draft with your teacher for feedback.
                 8.  Thoroughly,  edit  and  proofread  the  final  draft  before  making  your
                     presentation to the class.
                 9.  Present your report and note down suggestions for improvement.
                 10. Discuss the suggestions. Then, write and proofread the final draft of your
                     edited (clean) report.
