            Other approaches to theatre performances
            Apart from internal and external approaches, there are other approaches used
            in theatre performances. It is important to note that performing for stage and
            acting for stage are theatre terms with related meanings. Thus, in some situations,
            they are used interchangeably. On this ground, the performance approach in this
            discussion is explained from the point of view of acting as well. Other approaches
            include presentational, representational approach and physical theatre.

            Presentational approach
            Presentational  approach  is also  called  a  direct  approach.  In presentational
            performances, performers present while addressing the audience.  Using this
            approach, performers get a chance to interact with audience directly in various
            ways such as through questions and answers as well as speaking to them directly.
            It can be compared to a speech presentation where the speaker addresses the
