Introduction Academic Communication for Advanced Secondary Schools

           x. Evaluate student performance using predetermined criteria, such as
content understanding, critical thinking skills, creativity, teamwork,
and presentation excellence. Give helpful feedback to support
students in identifying their strengths and areas for improvement.

xi. Recognise and appreciate students’ achievements upon project
completion. This can include displaying their work to the school
community, organising a project exhibition, or presenting
                 certificates of achievement.

           G Demonstration method
Demonstration is an efficient teaching style that involves demonstrating
to students how to complete a task or comprehend a subject using visual
or practical aids. You may observe the following techniques to use the
           demonstration method in teaching properly:
           i. Identify the concept or skill you want to demonstrate. Plan the
steps you will follow to demonstrate it effectively.
ii. Gather all the necessary materials, equipment and visual aids.

iii. Start by providing an overview of what you will be demonstrating
and why students need to learn. This sets the context and helps
students understand the relevance of the demonstration.

iv. Clearly explain each step of the process you are demonstrating.
Break down complex tasks into smaller, manageable steps, and
articulate each step clearly to the students.

           v. Break down complex tasks into smaller, more manageable parts
and explain each step clearly to the students.

vi. Demonstrate the activity or topic in front of the students. Ensure
that your demonstration is clear, organised and easy to follow.
Speak slowly and clearly and encourage children to ask questions
if they do not understand something.

vii. Use visual aids like diagrams, charts, models or multimedia
presentations to improve understanding. Visual aids can make
abstract concepts more concrete and help students understand
                 the topic better.
