has no colour, smell and cannot be touched. Water vapour
does not have a fixed shape or volume; it spreads out to fill any
available space. When cooled, the water vapour turns back
              into liquid water.

              Conclusion

The experiment showed that water in its gaseous state has no
fixed shape or volume, but when it cools down, it changes back

              into liquid water.

Experiment 4: Changing gas to a liquid state

Aim: To demonstrate changing of gas to liquid state

Materials: Mirror or glass, water, a kettle and a heat source
                               (stove)

              Procedure

              1. Pour water into the kettle.

              2. Turn on the stove, then place the kettle with water on the
                    stove. Allow water to boil.

              3. Observe what you see at the kettle’s spout as the water
                    boils.

              4. Hold the mirror or glass in front of the kettle spout as shown
                    in Figure 4.

              5. Observe what happens in the mirror or glass. Describe
                    your observation.
