            Bible Knowledge and History
History tells the record of past events or where we came from, where we are, and
where we are likely to go. Biblical facts and narratives are explained historically.
Both Bible Knowledge and History explain past events in different times and places,
as well as the ways in which past events inform the present life.

            Bible Knowledge and Geography
Both Bible Knowledge and Geography describe the origin and caring for the universe
(Genesis 1). Biblical Geography is the study of Bible lands, and the examination of
places and features that are within the boundaries of those lands.

            Bible Knowledge and Civics
Civics is the study of the theoretical and practical aspects of citizenship as well as
its rights and duties: The duties of citizens to each other as members of a political
body and to the government. The principles of the Bible and civics deal with human
beings’ life, centered in the laws as guidance in their daily lives. Without laws, human
guidance will not be easy. God knew that the Israelites in the wilderness needed laws
as guidance to their journey towards the Promised Land (Exodus 20). Civics also
teaches civil laws as guidance in the rule of law.

            Bible Knowledge and Languages
Language is a means of communication. The Bible uses different languages to
communicate the message of salvation to humankind. Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek
were the major early biblical languages. Recently, English, Kiswahili, French and
other languages, and even dialects have become among the languages of the Bible.
Therefore, Bible Knowledge helps to improve language skills.
