also include drama scenes in their music videos to emphasise and elaborate more
on the intended messages in particular songs.
Fine Art
Fine Art involves making visual works of art. It can be in the form of paintings,
drawings and sculptures. Music contributes to ideas that cause different feelings
within fine artists. It arouses imaginations, interpretations and deep emotional
responses within painters, designers and other fine artists. Certain sounds or
melodies may represent certain colours to painters. For example, when a painter
listens to a happy or sad song, they may respond emotionally by painting a certain
picture. Also, fine artists has been contributing much to various musical activities
by designing costumes and performance platforms/stages. It also enhances
advertisements for musical events by designing logos, posters and other related
artworks.
Film and television production
Film composers normally choose a variety of melodies or tunes for different scenes
in films to create different feelings, such as happiness, fear or even panic. They
also use music to make viewers interpret the characters’ feelings and emotions,
such as fear, anger, hopelessness, triumph, love and others. On the other hand,
studies on film and television production have great impacts on music as they
help in the production and promotion of musical works in the form of videos.
Historia ya Tanzania na maadili
Historia ya Tanzania na maadili is a subject that aims at informing Tanzanian
students about the history of the country, developing them with good morals and
ethics, hence being patriotic to their society. Since musical compositions begin
with ideas, this subject is a rich source of ideas for music composers. Songs
have been used at various levels of education, particularly primary schools, to
teach students about the history of their country and various past events. Also,
Tanzanian musicians have been using songs to address social and political issues
and air criticisms against corruption and other inhuman practices.
Mathematics
Music develops arithmetic skills. Music composition is a mathematical exercise
whereby composers use formulas to divide and arrange musical notations to
create specific melodies and rhythms. In Tanzania pre-primary and primary
education, pupils learn various mathematical concepts, such as counting, addition
and subtraction of numbers through songs.
