Mysterious object falls at Ndolezi
By Mawazo Kalokile
Residents of Ndolezi Village in Mbozi were startled one day when a large,
unidentified object fell from the sky and landed on Mr Haonga’s avocado
farm. Witnesses report hearing a loud noise, followed by a bright flash of
light, before the object landed.
Mr Haonga, who owned the farm, came out immediately and saw a
“metallic and round object with strange markings on its surface.” Some
villagers believe it could be a kind of satellite or aircraft, while others
thought it was a sign that the world was coming to an end. They thought
it was doomsday. “We’ve never seen anything like this before,” said
Asha Msyani.
Now, Government officials have closed off the area to allow experts from
the Tanzania Space Aviation Agency to examine the object. “We can’t
confirm what it is yet, but we are taking all necessary precautions to
ensure public safety,” said spokesperson, Alinani Mwakisole.
