As she spoke, her confidence grew. She shared a story about how a small act of
kindness had once made her day better. The students nodded in agreement; some

whole school assembly echoed with applause, and her teacher gave her a nod of
approval. Returning to her place, she realised that speaking in public was not as
scary as she had imagined. It was an opportunity to inspire others.
After the assembly, several students approached Faiza to say how much they liked
her speech. One of them, Makasi, said, “Your words touched me a lot. I’ll do my
best to be kind to others as you suggested in your speech.” Faiza felt a warm sense
of happiness, knowing her message had made an impact.
Later that day, Faiza’s English teacher called her aside and said, “You have a talent
for public speaking. You will represent the school at the upcoming regional debate
competition.” Faiza’s eyes widened with excitement. She had never imagined herself
as a public speaker, but now she realised that with courage and practice, she could
achieve anything. In response, she nodded and said, “Yes, teacher, I would love to!”
