             1.  Guide the students in manageable groups to provide examples
                 of business units operating in their areas and their importance
                 to their community.

                 with the rest of the class.


          Ownership structure of business units
          Guide students using jigsaw or invite experts to classify the business
          units and explain their forms (companies, franchises, joint ventures,
          and co-operatives) in terms of meaning, formation and dissolution,
          features, advantages, and disadvantages.

          Learning resources
          Business and economic newspapers or brochures with themes about
          business units, Samples of co-operatives  constitutions, companies’
          memorandum  of association  and articles  of association,  Business
          Studies for  Advanced  Secondary Schools Form  V, Commerce  for
          Ordinary Secondary Schools Form IV textbooks, and online or offline
          related resources.


            Activity 2.1


           This  activity  aims  to  enable  the  students  to  classify  different
           companies operating in Tanzania and internationally.



          Guidance on the Activity 2.1
            (a)   Guide students in manageable  groups to search details  of
                 companies  operating  internationally,  and  then,  out  of those
                 companies  identify  at  least  10  companies  operating  in
                 Tanzania
