                                      Graduation ceremony
Our Form Four graduation ceremony is one of the events I will never forget. It took
place three years ago. Before the event, we prepared good songs, comedies, dramas and

a farewell speech. We rehearsed them well so that we could entertain people on that day.
A day before, we assembled in the hall to ensure that everything was well-prepared for
the event. It was decorated with ribbons and flowers. We rehearsed for the event, sitting
in alphabetical order and receiving certificates from the guest of honour in turns. We
were also shown a place where we would take photos.
On the day of the event, we woke up at dawn, excited. We had a heavy breakfast. I
found it difficult to choose between chicken soup, fish soup, and vegetable soup. After
some thought, I chose chicken soup.
At noon, we entered the hall ready for the ceremony. Everyone looked absolutely
stunning. We sang our school song and the national anthem before any other activities.
Then, the Master of Ceremony (MC), Mr Jailas, led us and the guests through the
activities prepared according to the timetable. When our turn to sing a farewell song
came, the MC asked the people in the hall to clap for us. We sang a song to our school,
our teachers and our young brothers and sisters. The song consisted of several themes
for guiding the students. These were on discipline, studying hard and collaboration.
When the time came for awarding the best performers in different areas, I was awarded
a certificate of excellence in academic performance. My family and I felt very happy.
In the evening, we ate a delicious meal and took photos together. Generally, it was a
wonderful day, and we enjoyed it a lot.

          (c) Compare your interpretation with those done by your classmates by considering the

skills, accuracy (correctness), clarity of information presentation, consistency,
grammar, punctuation, fluency (whether the ideas flowed naturally and carried
the sense and atmosphere of the original work), and whether they elicited in the
listeners the same emotional response as the original.

                                        Siku nisiyoisahau
