          (b) Read the conversation between Sofia and Alex which demonstrates the application
of spoken English techniques in spontaneous and non-spontaneous conversations.

Alex: Hey, Sofia! I’ve been working on improving my spoken English lately. Do
you have any tips for applying oral English techniques in both spontaneous
                     and non-spontaneous conversations?
        FOR ONLINE READING ONLY
Sofia: Absolutely, Alex! One technique that helps is practising word stress. Pay
attention to which syllables are carry stress in words. This will give your
                     speech a more natural rhythm.
Alex: That makes sense. So, in spontaneous conversations, how can I apply this
                     technique?

Sofia: In spontaneous conversations, it’s important to be mindful of your pacing.
Take a moment to breathe and think before responding. This will give you
time to apply the correct stress and pronunciation patterns.

Alex: Right, taking a moment to gather my thoughts can definitely make
a difference. And what about non-spontaneous conversations, like
                     presentations or speeches?
Sofia: Preparation is key in non-spontaneous situations. Practise your speech
or presentation beforehand, focusing on enunciating each word clearly.
Record yourself and listen for any areas where you can improve your
                     pronunciation.
Alex: Good idea! I’ll make sure to rehearse and listen back to my recordings to
identify areas for improvement. Are there any other techniques that can be
                     helpful?
Sofia: Another technique is to mimic native speakers. Listen to recordings or
conversations of native speakers and try to imitate their pronunciation. Pay
attention to their intonation, stress patterns and rhythm.
Alex: Mimicking native speakers sounds like a great way to improve. I’ll
definitely give that a try. Lastly, are there any resources you recommend
                     for practising oral English techniques?

Sofia: Absolutely! Online resources like pronunciation apps, YouTube tutorials,
and language learning websites can be really helpful. You can also consider
working with a pronunciation coach or taking a pronunciation class.

Alex: I’ll explore those resources and see which ones work best for me. Thanks
for all the tips, Sofia! I’m excited to work on my spoken English skills in
                     both spontaneous and non-spontaneous conversations.

Sofia: You’re welcome, Alex! I’m glad I could help. Remember, practice makes
perfect, so keep practising and you’ll see improvement in no time. Good
                     luck!
