                  adjectives.

                                             The family union

One tranquil village, named Kikota is located in Rungwe District in Mbeya Region.
Its land is both beautiful and fertile. Numerous rivulets flow cleanly around the

village, nourishing the rich flora and fauna. Every August, Mwaisa’s family gather
for their annual reunion. Eagerly anticipating the event, the family members
excitedly discussed it. They could not wait to meet Filipo Mwakifule, one of the
uncles known for drama flair and humour. He always made the family laugh with
the jokes he used to crack.

Ngapona, a cheerful fourteen-year-old family member, eagerly awaited the day’s

events. On the reunion day, Ngapona spent the entire morning arranging chairs and
mats under the giant fig tree, ensuring that everyone would be comfortable. While
working, she looked up and suddenly spotted her favourite uncle, Filipo Mwakifule,
a stout man with an infectious laugh. Ngapona began to laugh and immediately ran
toward him with her arms outstretched, hugging him affectionately.

“Why are you laughing at me?” Mwakifule asked, smiling.
“I’m just happy to see you, uncle,” Ngapona said, trying to hold back her laughter.

“I’m so happy to see you too, Ngapo,” he replied warmly.
