(b) Playing the role of an expert on a topic of study or expertise.
Ask them to create and use the script samples for the individuals
identified in the Student Book to raise community awareness
about saving for the future. Then, lead Q and where students are
asked to answer or clarify something and respond to inquiries
from their peers.
(c) Participating in a debate on cross-cutting issues. Ask them
to choose one issue from the list provided in the Student
Book. Ask them to prepare themselves well by researching
and preparing arguments, anticipating counterarguments,
contributing, rebutting and practising responding persuasively
and respectfully. Then instruct them to summarise the points and
share them with the class.
(d) Responding to the riddles. This is a critical thinking exercise,
therefore allow ample time for the students to discuss in pairs
and then share their responses with the whole class to encourage
discussion.
