2.5 Calculation on food nutrients

            Teaching and learning steps

                1.  Use Example 1 in student’s textbook to help students in
         FOR ONLINE READING ONLY
                   calculating nutrients present in foods.  Assign students
                   with a variety of problem-solving activities that use food
                   composition tables.
                2.  Instruct students to perform exercise 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6. and
                   2.7. Mark their work and provide feedback



              Note: There are various methods of calculating nutrients present
              in food. Guide students to use various sources of information to
              explore various methods of calculating nutrients present in foods.




              Assign students to perform Revision exercise 2 from the Student’s
              Book. Mark students’ answers and provide feedback.
