          literature in English in delivering moral lessons, encouraging empathy and fostering
          critical  thinking skills among readers.  Assess  the application  of the educational
          curriculum and its role in shaping ethical values and civic responsibility.


          Language and identity: Assess the use of English in Tanzanian literature in relation to

          cultural identity and promotion of national unity. Discuss the contribution of English in
          democratising access to literature across various linguistic ethnicities.

          Literary institutions and infrastructure: Evaluate the status of literary institutions,
          cultural  organizations,  libraries  and publishing houses in  Tanzania.  Analyse their
          efforts in promoting local authors, preserving literary heritage and promoting a vibrant
          ecosystem of literary works.


          Global influence and recognition: Research how Tanzanian literature in English is
          received internationally and how it influences global perceptions of Tanzanian culture
          and society. Focus your attention on important works that have received recognition
          worldwide and their impact on promoting cross-cultural communication.


          Future prospects and  challenges:  Assess  the challenges  that the  Tanzanian
          literature in English faces in the digital age. Consider aspects such as globalisation,
          commercialisation, and the dominance of global literary markets. Suggest mechanisms
          for preserving indigenous traditions of storytelling, supporting emerging writers and
          utilising technology to reach a wider audience.

          Conclusion and recommendations:  Provide  a  summary  of the  main  discoveries
          from the evaluation and conclude on how Tanzanian literature in English helps shape
          a civilised society. Offer suggestions to policymakers, educators, writers and cultural
          stakeholders on how to better utilise literature for social development and unity.


          (b) Prepare a summary of the findings from the project in Activity 4 (a) and present in
              class for discussion.


          (c) Write  the  comments  received  to  improve  your  final  report.  Then,  submit  your
              improved draft to the teacher for feedback.
