            Nafasi Arts Space

While COSOTA, NAC and TARO are among the organisations supporting artists
in Tanzania on various aspects of artistic endeavours, their roles primarily involve
raising awareness among artists about their work and providing platforms for
showcasing their art works. Nafasi Arts Space, founded in 2008 by various artists
collaboratively, represents this mission by striving to enhance access and broaden
participation in visual arts within Tanzania.

Nafasi Arts Space offers artists a complex support system by providing them
with studio spaces, training opportunities, workshops, artistic talks and access
to organise and participate in various public events such as film screenings,
exhibitions, concerts, festivals and art fairs. Through these avenues, Nafasi
Arts Space not only nurtures artistic talent but also facilitates the growth and
establishment of artists in their careers, enabling them to thrive within the creative
            community.
