The importance of COSOTA to the theatre artist of Tanzania
Registering with organisations like COSOTA for copyright protection is important
for theatre artists. It does not only provide a streamlined process for safeguarding
their creative works but it also empowers them to assert their ownership rights and
retain control over how their art is used and distributed. By obtaining a copyright
license through such platforms, artists can effectively protect their intellectual
property and ensure that they receive proper recognition and compensation for
            their creations.

            National Arts Council (NAC)

as Baraza la Sanaa Tanzania (BASATA) is a government organisation that was
established in 1984. The organisation plays a crucial role in facilitating and
promoting various forms of arts, including music, theatre, visual and crafts arts
as well as other artistic endeavors. It serves as a platform to support and nurture
the country’s cultural heritage and it provides resources and opportunities for
