Activity 7.3 Academic writing
Use the activities in the Student’s Book to guide the students through:
(a) Reflecting on the provided questions in the Student’s Book. This
activity intends to help students gain valuable insights into their
current approach to writing academic reports and identify areas
for growth and improvement before undergoing training. After
individual reflection, you may lead a plenary discussion to explore
more information and experiences from the students.
(b) Studying the provided features in the Student’s Book. Then, ask
them to select only those that distinguish academic writing from
other types of writing by putting a tick against them. The following
are the suggested responses.
