(b) Play the role of an expert on a topic of study or expertise (e.g., scientist, historian,

1. Create script samples for the following individuals to use in raising community
awareness about saving for the future.

(iii) A farmer
(iv) A food vendor
2. After each presentation, participate in a question and answer session where
you are asked to answer or clarify something and respond to inquiries from
your peers.
(c) Participate in a debate on cross-cutting issues. The following are some of the
topics on which you can debate.
1. Climate change is the greatest threat facing humanity.
2. Globalisation is harmful to developing countries.
3. School uniforms must be mandatory.
4. Is capitalism a fair economic system?
5. All 16-year-olds should be permitted to vote.
6. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a helpful learning resource.
Note: Prepare yourself well by researching and preparing arguments, anticipating
counterarguments, contributing, rebutting and practising to respond persuasively and
respectfully. At the end, summarise the points and share them with the class.
