Activity 5�2 in the Student’s Book
(a) Organise students in the same pairs that did Activity 5.1.
(b) Ask them to prepare a proposal for research on the topic they
chose and worked on in Activity 5.1.
(c) Ask students to use online/offline sources to read widely and
from different sources about the topic or its specific research
area.
(d) Guide students in their pairs through discussing the information
they collected.
(e) Ask them to develop the proposal by focusing on its main parts.
(f) Choose one student from each pair to read the proposal aloud.
(g) Allow questions from students to understand more about the
literature review. Use their questions for class discussion.
Exercise 5�2 in the Student’s Book
(a) Ask students in groups to discuss how the literature review
they conducted before writing their proposal helped them to
justify their study (Exercise 5.2(a)).
(b) Each pair to present the work to the class for discussion and
a common understanding.
(c) Ask students in groups to explain how they collaborated and
how helpful it was in writing the proposal (Exercise 5.2(b)).
(d) Ask them to share challenges they faced when collaborating
if any.
(e) Guide students through presenting the works for discussion
and improvement.
